ലെബനനിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു തീരദേശ നഗരം ആണ് ബിബ്ലസ് ( Jubayl (Arabic: جبيل Lebanese Arabic pronunciation: [ʒbejl]). മദ്ധ്യധരണ്യാഴിയുടെ തീരത്തെ ഈ നഗരം ബി.സി. 8800 മുതൽക്ക് തന്നെ ജനവാസമുള്ളത് ആയിരുന്നു.[1] ബി.സി 5000 മുതൽ ഇന്ന് വരെ തുടർച്ചയായി മനുഷ്യവാസം ഉണ്ട് എന്നതും ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ സവിശേഷത ആണ്. ഫിനീഷ്യയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനം ആയിരുന്നു ബിബ്ലസ്.[2][3] ഇന്ന് ഇത് ലോകപൈതൃക പ്രദേശമാണ് ഇവിടം.

Archaeological excavations at Byblos indicate that the site has been continually inhabited since at least 5000 B.C.
