Looking for Hindi Wikipedians

Hi Shijualex!

I'm Maryana, a research fellow for the Wikimedia Foundation. I wanted to direct your attention to this -- a fellowship program I'm running this summer that seeks to pair graduate students working in the humanities with veteran Wikipedians from different language projects, with the goal of producing histories of non-English Wikipedia communities. One of our potential researchers speaks Hindi (and can read Urdu and Sanskrit), so I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'll know someone from hi.wiki who can be her guide to the community's history. If you or someone you know sounds like a good candidate for the job, please let me know! Also, she'll likely be in India this summer and is interested in meeting Wikipedians in Delhi, Jaipur, or anywhere in the northwestern part of the country. Do you happen to know any Wikipedians there or know of any meetups/events/etc. that are happening there in June or July? (Or is all the action in Bangalore and Mumbai?)

"മലയാളികൽ വിക്കിപീഡിയയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു" പദ്ധതിയിൽ ഞാനും സജീവമായി(?) പങ്കെടുത്തു- 15നടുത്ത് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ കോമൺസിൽ അപ്|ലോഡ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇന്ന് ഇത് അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോൾ ന്യായമായ ഒരു സംശയം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു. ഇതിലൂടെ ലഭിച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങൾ എത്രമാത്രം പ്രസക്തമാണ് ? എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ അപ്രസക്തമായ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ വളരെയേറെയുണ്ട്. എന്റേതുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ളവയിൽ തികച്ചും അനുയോജ്യമായതു മാത്രം സ്വീകരിച്ച്, അല്ലാത്തവ തള്ളിക്കളയാനുള്ള ഒരു "പ്രത്യേക പരിപാടി" കൂടി വേണ്ടതല്ലേ ? നല്ല ചിത്രങ്ങൾധാരാളം ലഭിക്കാനും ഈ പ്രത്യേക പരിപാടി ഇടയാക്കി എന്ന സന്തോഷവും ഒപ്പം പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്നു. അപ്|ലോഡ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട ചിത്രങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഞാൻ അറിയിച്ച അഭിപ്രായത്തോടു പ്രതികരിക്കുകയും, അതു സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള അടുത്ത ഘട്ടം പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ ക്ഷണിജക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിൽ നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ' ഒരു ചിത്രം കോമ്മൺസിലേയ്ക്ക് കയറ്റി വിടാനുള്ള' സാങ്കേതിക പരിജ്ഞാനമേ എനിക്ക് ആയിട്ടുള്ളു എന്നതിനാൽ എല്ലാ ആശംസകളും അർപ്പിച്ച് ഞാൻ മാറി നിൽക്കുന്നു. ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി നന്ദി.
