ശരീര ഘടന

ഗോറില്ലയ്ക്കുശേഷം രണ്ടാമത്തെ വലിയ കുരങ്ങിനമാണ് ബോർണിയൻ ഒറംഗുട്ടാൻ.[4][5] 90 കിലോഗ്രാം വരെ ഭാരം വരുന്ന ഇവയ്ക്ക് ഏകദേശം 1-1.5 മീറ്റർ ഉയരമുണ്ട്. ഇരുണ്ട അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ചുവപ്പ് കലർന്ന തവിട്ട് നിറമുള്ള ചെറിയ മുടിയാണ് ഇവയുടെ പ്രധാന സവിശേഷത.[6]
