2013 ജനുവരി 5-ന് നാഷണൽ പീപ്പിൾസ് പാർട്ടി (എൻപിപി) എന്ന പുതിയ രാഷ്ട്രീയ കക്ഷി പി.എ. സാങ്മ രൂപീകരിച്ചു.

രാഷ്‌ട്രപതി തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ നേതൃത്വവുമായി കലഹിച്ച്‌ എൻ.സി.പി. വിട്ടു. 2013ൽ നാഷണൽ പീപ്പിൾസ്‌ പാർട്ടി രൂപീകരിക്കുന്നത്. പുസ്തകമാണ് പുതിയ പാർട്ടിയുടെ ചിഹ്നം. ബി.ജെ.പി. യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള എൻഡിഎയിൽ ചേർന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കാനാന്
