ദേശീയ മാനദന്ധ സമിതികളുടെ പ്രതിനിധികളുടെ അന്തർദേശീയ സമിതിയാണ് 'ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഓർഗനൈസേഷൻ ഫോർ സ്റ്റാൻഡേർഡൈസേഷൻ. ഫെബ്രുവരി 23 1947 ലാണ് ഇതു തുടങ്ങിയത്. ഐ സ് ഓ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷകൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്, ഫ്രെഞ്ച്, റഷ്യൻ എന്നിവയാണ്. ഇതിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനം സ്വിറ്റ്സർലാൻഡിലെ ജെനീവയിലാണ്. 164 രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.[3]
ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക സാമൂഹിക സമിതിയുമായി പൊതുവായ കൺസൾട്ടേറ്റീവ് പദവി നൽകിയ ആദ്യത്തെ സംഘടനകളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്.
