ഒരു തമിഴ്‌ ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാവാണ് ധനുഷ് (തമിഴ്: தனுஷ்)എന്ന വെങ്കിടേഷ് പ്രഭു. ആടുംകളം എന്ന തമിഴ് ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് 2010-ലെ മികച്ച നടനുള്ള പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചു[2]. ഈ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞ വ്യക്തിയുമാണ് ധനുഷ്. ചലച്ചിത്രസം‌വിധായകനായ കസ്തൂരി രാജയുടെ മകനായി 1983 ജൂലൈ 28-നു മദ്രാസിൽ ജനിച്ചു. രജനികാന്തിന്റെ മകൾ ഐശ്വര്യയാണ്‌ ഭാര്യ. ഇവർക്ക് യാത്ര എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു മകളുണ്ട്.

ചലച്ചിത്ര ജീവിതം

2002 ലാണ് ധനുഷ് ചലച്ചിത്രജീവിതം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. പിതാവ് കസ്തൂരിരാജ സംവിധാനം നിർവഹിച്ച തുള്ളുവതോ ഇളമൈ എന്നതായിരുന്നു ആദ്യചിത്രം. അഭിനയത്തിൽ താത്പര്യമില്ലാതിരുന്ന ധനുഷ് സഹോദരനും സംവിധായകനുമായ ശെൽവരാഘവന്റെ നിർബന്ധത്താലാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചത്. മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ സ്നേഹം ലഭിക്കാതെ വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടം വിദ്യാർഥികളിലെ പ്രധാനിയായാണ് ധനുഷ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചത്. ഈ ചിത്രം വൻവിജയമായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ കാതൽ കൊണ്ടേൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ മാനസികപ്രശ്നങ്ങളുള്ള വിദ്യാർഥിയെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ നായകപ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ധനുഷ് ആദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് 2003 - ൽ ഛായാസിങ്ങിനൊപ്പം അഭിനയിച്ച തിരുടാ തിരുടി എന്ന ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലാണ്.

ആദ്യ മൂന്ന് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ വൻവിജയമായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ തുടർന്ന് വന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങൾ പരാജയമായിരുന്നു. പിതാവ് കസ്തൂരിരാജ തന്നെ സംവിധാനം നിർവഹിച്ച ഡ്രീംസ് എന്ന ചിത്രവും വൻപരാജയമായി. ദേവതയെ കണ്ടേൻ, അത് ഒരു കനാക്കാലം എന്നീ 2005-ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ശരാശരി വിജയം നേടി. പ്രകാശ്‌രാജിനൊപ്പം അഭിനയിച്ച തിരു വിളയാടൽ ആരംഭം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ ഹാസ്യപ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള നായകനെയും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. കരിയറിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച വിജയം നൽകിയത് 2007- ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ പൊല്ലാതവൻ എന്ന ചിത്രമാണ്. യാരടി നീ മോഹിനി, പഠിക്കാതവൻ, ഉത്തമപുത്തിരൻ, ശീടൻ, ആടുകളം, മാപ്പിളൈ എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ധനുഷിന്റെ കരിയറിൽ വിജയചിത്രങ്ങളായിരുന്നു.
