പാരീസിൽ താമസിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് സാഹിത്യ രചന നടത്തുന്ന അൽബേനിയൻ സാഹിത്യകാരനാണ് ഇസ്മയിൽ കദാരെ (ജനനം :28 ജനുവരി 1936). 2005-ലെ മാൻബുക്കർ പ്രൈസ് കദാരെയ്ക്കായിരുന്നു.

ജീവിതരേഖ

1936-ൽ തെക്കൻ അൽബേനിയയിൽ ജനിച്ച ഇസ്മയിൽ കദാരെ നിരവധി പ്രാവശ്യം നോബൽ സമ്മാനത്തിനായി പരിഗണിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള എഴുത്തുകാരനാണ്. 1985 മുതൽ പാരീസിലാണ് താമസം. പന്ത്രണ്ടിലധികം പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. [4]

1970 മുതൽ 1982 വരെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ കാലത്ത് അൽബേനിയൻ പാർലമെന്റ് അംഗമായിരുന്നു. [5] 1990കളിൽ ഫ്രാൻസിൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയ അഭയം തേടി.

ആദ്യ നോവലായ ‘മരിച്ചസൈന്യത്തിന്റെ മേധാവി’ 1970- ൽ ഫ്രാൻസിലാണ് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്. 1971-ൽ അത് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. രണ്ടാമത്തെ നോവൽ ‘കല്ലിലെ പുരാവൃത്തം‘ (Chronicle in Stone)
