ഭാഷ എന്ന വാക്കിനർത്ഥം മലയാളം വിക്കി നിഘണ്ടുവിൽ കാണുക

ജീവികൾക്ക്‌ തമ്മിൽ ആശയ വിനിമയം നടത്താനുള്ള മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്കാണ്‌ ഭാഷ എന്നുപറയുന്നത്‌. അഥവാ ആശയ വിനിമയത്തിനുള്ള സൂചകങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു കൂട്ടത്തിനെ ഭാഷ എന്നു പറയുന്നു. ഹോർമോണുകളും, ശബ്ദങ്ങളും, വിദ്യുത്‌ തരംഗങ്ങളും, ആംഗ്യങ്ങളും, എല്ലാം പലയിനങ്ങളിലുള്ള ജീവികൾ താന്താങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഷയായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ മുതലായ വൈദ്യുതോപകരണങ്ങളിൽ പ്രത്യേക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യാനുപയോഗിക്കുന്ന വാക്കുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിനും ഭാഷ എന്നു തന്നെ ആണ്‌ പറയുന്നത്‌.പ്രോഗ്രാമിംഗ്‌ ഭാഷ, സൂചക ഭാഷ(Markup Language) മുതലായവ ഉദാഹരണങ്ങൾ. പൊതുവായി പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഭാഷ എന്നത്:- 'ആശയവിനിമയത്തിനുള്ള ശബ്ദാത്മകമായ ഉപാധി'യെന്ന് വിവക്ഷിക്കാം

ജീവികളുടെ ഭാഷ

ആശയവിനിമയത്തിനായി ജീവികൾ താന്താങ്ങളുടെ ആയിട്ടുള്ള ഭാഷ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. കാക്ക തുടങ്ങിയ പക്ഷികളുടെ ഭാഷയ്ക്ക്‌ പ്രാദേശിക ഭേദം പോലുമുണ്ടെന്ന് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞന്മാർ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്‌.

മൃഗങ്ങളിലാകട്ടെ പക്ഷികൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിലും കൂടുതൽ ആംഗ്യങ്ങൾ ഭാഷകൾ ആയി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതായി കാണാം. ചെന്നായ്‌ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ തലവനെ കാണുമ്പോൾ മറ്റുള്ളവ തങ്ങളുടെ വാൽ താഴ്ത്തിയിടുന്നതും, യജമാനനെ കാണുമ്പോൾ നായ വാലാട്ടുന്നതും അവയുടെ ഭാഷകളായി കാണാം. ആന മുതലായ ജീവികളാകട്ടെ നിലത്തു ചവിട്ടുന്നതു മൂലമുണ്ടാകുന്ന ഭൗമ കമ്പനങ്ങൾ വരെ ആശയവിനിമയത്തിനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്‌. ഇങ്ങനെ ഭാഷയെ മൂന്ന് വിഭാഗങ്ങളായി തരം തിരിക്കാം.

1. സ്പർശനത്തിലൂടെ സാധ്യമാകുന്ന ആശയവിനിമയം.
2. കണ്ണുകൾ, കൈ,കാൽ തുടങ്ങിയ ശാരീരികാവയവങ്ങൾ മൂലം നൽകുന്ന ആശയ സംവാദം.
3. ശ്രവണേന്ദ്രിയത്തിലൂടെയുള്ള ആശയവിനിമയം.

ഭാഷോത്പത്തി

ഭാഷോത്പത്തിയിൽ ഏറ്റവും പുരാതനമായ സിദ്ധാന്തങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് ഗ്രീക്കുകാരാണ്‌. ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളുടെപഴയനിയമത്തിലും ഭാഷയുടെ ഉത്പത്തിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ചില പരാമർശങ്ങല് ഉണ്ട്.. ഭാരതം, ഗ്രീസ്, അറേബ്യ തുടങ്ങിയ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ മതഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിലും ഭാഷോത്പത്തിയെ കുറിച്ച് വിവരണങ്ങൾ ലഭ്യമാണ്‌. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഭാഷ എന്നത് ദൈവികമായ സമ്പത്താണ്‌ എന്നായിരുന്നു കരുതിയിരുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് ഭാഷയുടേ ഉത്പത്തിയെക്കുറിച്ച് പല സിദ്ധാന്തങ്ങളും രൂപം കൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തു.

മനുഷ്യഭാഷകൾ

മനുഷ്യഭാഷകൾ എന്ന് സാധാരണയായി വിവക്ഷിക്കുന്നവ നാക്കും ചുണ്ടും, തൊണ്ടയിലെ ശബ്ദകോശങ്ങളും, തലയിലെ അസ്ഥികളും മാംസപേശികളും ഉപയോഗിച്ച്‌ മനുഷ്യൻ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു കൂട്ടമാണ്‌. പ്രത്യേകം വ്യാകരണവും ഈ ശബ്ദങ്ങളുടെ ഉപയോഗത്തിനുണ്ടാവും. മിക്കമനുഷ്യഭാഷകളും ലിഖിതരൂപത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കാനും കഴിയും. പ്രത്യേകം ലിപികൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഭാഷകൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ലിഖിത രൂപം സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനായി മറ്റു ഭാഷകളുടെ ലിപികൾ കടം കൊള്ളാറുമുണ്ട്‌. ഉദാഹരണമായി കൊങ്ങിണി, ഇൻഡോനേഷ്യൻ ഭാഷ മുതലായ.

മനുഷ്യഭാഷകളെ പ്രധാനമായും ആറായി തരംതിരിക്കാം, ഇന്തോ-ആര്യൻ ഭാഷകൾ, ആഫ്രിക്കൻ ഭാഷകൾ, മധ്യേഷ്യൻ ഭാഷകൾ, ദ്രാവിഡ ഭാഷകൾ, കിഴക്കനേഷ്യൻ ഭാഷകൾ, യൂറോപ്യൻ ഭാഷകൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണവ. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ ഭാഷകൾ എന്നൊരു വിഭാഗം കൂടി ചിലർ ഇക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽ പെടുത്തി കാണാറുണ്ട്‌.
