കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള മുൻ കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിയാണ് എസ്. കൃഷ്ണകുമാർ (ജനനം : 6 സെപ്റ്റംബർ1939 ). ആരോഗ്യ - കുടുംബക്ഷേമ വകുപ്പിന്റെയും ടെക്സ്റ്റയിൽസ് മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെയും വാർത്താ പ്രക്ഷേപണ വകുപ്പിന്റെയും പെട്രോളിയം പ്രകൃതി വാതകം, പ്രതിരോധം, കൃഷി തുടങ്ങിയ വകുപ്പുകളുടെയും ചുമതല വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എട്ട്, ഒൻപത്, പത്ത് ലോക്‌സഭകളിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു.

ജീവിതരേഖ

തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ കവടിയാറിൽ ജനിച്ചു. കേരള സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് ഒന്നാം റാങ്കോടെ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് ബിരുദം നേടി. 1963 ൽ സിവിൽ സർവ്വീസിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലാ കളക്ടറായിരുന്നു. 1980 ൽ ഐ.എ.എസ് രാജി വച്ച് കോൺഗ്രസിലൂടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിലിറങ്ങി. 1984 - 96 കാലത്ത് കൊല്ലത്തു നിന്ന് മൂന്നു തവണ പാർലമെന്റിലേക്ക് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
