ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ തന്നെ കായിക മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ തല്പരയായിരുന്നു ഇവർ.[1] എന്നാൽ പഠനശേഷം നേഴ്സ് ആയി ജോലി നോക്കവേ ഓസ്ട്രിയൻ ട്രയത്‌ലോൺ താരമായ കിഡ്സ്‌ബുഹേലിനെ പരിചയപ്പെടുകയും, 1999 ൽ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത് ഇവരുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ വഴിതിരുവായി ഭർത്താവിന്റെ നിർബന്ധത്തിൽ ട്രയത്‌ലോൺ പരിശീലിച്ച ഇവർ പിൽക്കാലത്തു ഒളിമ്പിക് മെഡൽ അടക്കം ഉള്ള ഒട്ടനവധി മെഡലുകൾ ഈ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ നേടി . തന്റെ വിവാഹ ശേഷം ആണ് ഈ നേട്ടങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെ നേടിയത് എന്നതും ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി .[2][3][4]
