അമേരിക്കൻ ഹെവിവെയ്റ്റ് ബോക്സറായിരുന്നു കെൻ നോർട്ടൻ.(ജന:ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 9, 1943 – സെപ്റ്റം: 18, 2013).ജോ ഫ്രേസിയർക്കു ശേഷം ബോക്സിങ് ഇതിഹാസമായ മുഹമ്മദ് അലിയെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉച്ചസ്ഥായിലുള്ള കായിക ജീവിതത്തിനിടയ്ക്ക് പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ ബോക്സറുമാണ് നോർട്ടൺ. 1977 ൽ ലോക ബോക്സിങ് കൗൺസിലിന്റെ ചാമ്പ്യനുമായിരുന്നു .[3] 1978ൽ ലാറി ഹോംസുമായുള്ള 15 റൗണ്ടുകൾ നീണ്ടു നിന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധപോരാട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു പോയന്റു വ്യത്യാസത്തിനാണ് നോർട്ടണ് ബോക്സിങ്ങ്കിരീടം നഷ്ടമായത് (143-142).[4] ഈ മത്സരത്തിനു ശേഷമാണ് നോർട്ടൺ തന്റെ വിരമിക്കൽ തീരുമാനം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.
