ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആണവ രസതന്ത്രശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും പ്രതിരോധ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും വിസ്ഫോടന എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്ങ് വിദഗ്ദ്ധനുമാണ് വാമൻ ദത്താത്രേയ പട്വർദ്ധൻ(ജനുവരി 30, 1917 - ജൂലൈ 27, 2007).എക്സ്പ്ളോസീവ് റിസർച്ച് ആൻഡ് ഡവലപ്പ്മെന്റ് ലബോറട്ടറിയുടെ (ഇന്ന് ഹൈ എനർജി മെറ്റീരിയൽസ് റിസർച്ച് ലബോറട്ടറി(HERML)) സ്ഥാപക ഡയറക്ടറുമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്പേസ് പദ്ധതിയിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ആണവ പദ്ധതി,മിസൈൽ പദ്ധതി എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് അടിത്തറയിട്ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞിരിലൊരാളാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം.തുമ്പയിൽ നിന്ന് വിക്ഷേപിച്ച ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആദ്യ സ്പേസ് റോക്കറ്റായ സോളിഡ് പ്രൊപ്പല്ലേറ്റ് നിർമ്മിച്ച്ത് ഇദ്ദേഹമാണ്.ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആദ്യ ആണവ പരീക്ഷണത്തിന് (ബുദ്ധൻ ചിരിക്കുന്നു) നിർണായകമായ സംഭാവനകൾ നല്കി[1] .

പുരസ്ക്കരങ്ങൾ
