ഉക്രൈനിയൻ ഭാഷ /jˈkrniən/ (українська мова ukrayins'ka mova, pronounced [ukraˈjiɲsʲkɐ ˈmɔvɐ]) ഒരു കിഴക്കൻ സ്ലാവിക് ഭാഷയാണ്. ഉക്രൈനിലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷയും ഉക്രൈനിയൻ ജനതയുടെ പ്രധാന ഭാഷയുമാണിത്. സിറിലിക് ലിപിയുടെ ഒരു വകഭേദമാണ് (ഉക്രൈനിയൻ അക്ഷരമാല കാണുക) ഈ ഭാഷ എഴുതുവാനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

ഉക്രൈനിയൻ ഭാഷ

കീവൻ റൂസ് എന്ന മദ്ധ്യകാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്ന ഓൾഡ് ഈസ്റ്റ് സ്ലാവിക് എന്ന ഭാഷയിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഉക്രൈനിയൻ ഭാഷ പരിണമിച്ചുണ്ടായത്. 1804 മുതൽ റഷ്യൻ വിപ്ലവം വരെ ഉക്രൈനിയൻ ഭാഷ റഷ്യൻ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിലെ സ്കൂളുകളിൽ നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ഉക്രൈന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഒരു ഭാഗമായ നൈപർ ഉക്രൈൻ (ഉക്രൈന്റെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗവും കിഴക്കൻ പ്രദേശവും തെക്കൻ പ്രദേശവും) ഈ സമയത്ത് റഷ്യൻ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു.[5] പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഉക്രൈനിൽ ഈ ഭാഷ ഒരിക്കലും നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ നിത്യജീവിതത്തിലും [6] നാടൻ പാട്ടുകളിലും, സംഗീതജ്ഞന്മാരിലും എഴുത്തുകാരിലും മറ്റും വലിയ സ്വാധീനമുണ്ടാകുന്ന സാഹചര്യമുണ്ടായി.[6][7]

ഉക്രൈനിയൻ, ബെലാറൂസിയൻ എന്നീ ഭാഷകൾക്ക് 84% പൊതുവായ പദസമ്പത്താണുള്ളത്. പോളിഷ് ഭാഷയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഇത് 70%, സെർബോ-ക്രോയേഷ്യൻ ഭാഷകളിൽ 68%, സ്ലൊവാക് ഭാഷയിൽ 66%, റഷ്യൻ ഭാഷയുമായി 62% എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ്.[8] റഷ്യൻ, ബെലറൂസിയൻ, ഉക്രൈനിയൻ എന്നീ ഭാഷകൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഒരു പരിധിവരെ പരസ്പരം മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും.[9]
