ജമ്മു കാശ്‌മീരിലെ, ലെ ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമമാണ് ടുർടുക് (Turtuk).[1] ലെ നഗരത്തിൽ നിന്നും 250 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ഗ്രാമം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വടക്കുള്ള ഗ്രാമമാണ്. പാകിസ്താന്റെ കൈവശമായിരുന്ന ഇവിടം 1971 -ലെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യ പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു.[2][3] കൂടുതൽ മുസ്ലീമുകളായ ഇവിടെയുള്ള ജനങ്ങൾ ബാൽടി, ലഡാക്കി, ഉർദു എന്നീ ഭാഷകളാണ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്.[4] ടുർടുകിന്റെ അതിർത്തിക്കുശേഷം പാകിസ്താൻ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലുള്ള ഗിൽഗിത്-ബാൾട്ടിസ്ഥാൻ ആണ് ഉള്ളത്.[5] സിയാച്ചിൻ ഹിമാനിയിലേക്കുള്ള ഒരു വഴിയുടെ തുടക്കം ഇവിടെയാണ്.[6][7]

2009 ൽ സഞ്ചാരികൾക്കു തുറന്നുകൊടുത്ത ടുർടുക്, നിയന്ത്രണരേഖയ്ക്ക് ഇപ്പുറം യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അവസാനസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. മുസ്ലീമുകളാണ് കൂടുതൽ ഉള്ളത് എങ്കിലും ബുദ്ധമതക്കാർ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ഏതാനും കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ കാണാം.
2010 -ലെ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം[തിരുത്തുക]
ലഡാക്കിൽ മുഴുവൻ ഉണ്ടായ 2010- ലെ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തിൽ ടുർടുക്കിലും നാശനഷ്ടങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
