ശരീരമാകെ തവുട്ടുകലർന്ന ചാരനിറത്തോടുകൂടിയ മൂങ്ങ വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽപെട്ട ചെറിയ പക്ഷികളാണു് പുള്ളിനത്ത്.[3] [4][5][6] തല ,പുറം,ചിറകുകൾ ഇവയിലെല്ലാം നിറയെ വെള്ളപ്പുള്ളിക്കുത്തുകൾ കാണാം. അടിവശത്ത് ഇളംതവിട്ടുനിറത്തിൽ പാടുകളും വെള്ളപുള്ളികളും കാണാം. തൊണ്ടയും പുരികവും വെള്ള. മഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകൾ. കമ്പി പീച്ചാൻ എന്നും ഇവ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടു്. വണ്ടുകളെയും പാറ്റകളെയും പറക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് തുരത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചാണ് ഇവയുടെ ആഹാരം തേടുന്നത്.
ഇവ കാടുകൾ ഒഴിവാക്കുകയാണ് പതിവ്.
പ്രജനനം[തിരുത്തുക]
ഫെബ്രുവരി അവസാനം മുതൽ മെയ് പകുതിവരെയാണ് പ്രജനന കാലം. 3-5 മുട്ടകൾവരെ ഇടുന്നു.
