1927 ൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഉറുദു കൃതിയാണ് റംഗീലാ റസൂൽ. മുഹമ്മദ് നബിയെ ഏറെ വിചിത്രമായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ച ഈ കൃതി വിവാദമായി. ഹിന്ദിയിൽ വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട ഈ കൃതി ഇന്ത്യയിലും പാകിസ്താനിലും ബംഗ്ലാദേശിലും നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
പ്രസാധകന്റെ കൊലപാതകം[തിരുത്തുക]
പുസ്തകം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച മഹഷെ രാജ്പാലിനെ ബ്രട്ടീഷ് ഭരണകൂടം അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്യുകയും മതനിന്ദയ്ക്കെതിരെ പ്രത്യേക നിയമങ്ങളുടെ അഭാവത്തിൽ, ലാഹോർ കോടതി വെറുതെ വിടുകയും ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് 1923 ഏപ്രിൽ 26 ന് കോടതിയിൽ വെച്ച് ഇൽമുദ്ദീൻ എന്നൊരാളിന്റെ കുത്തേറ്റ് രാജ്പാൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. വധശിക്ഷ ലഭിച്ച ഇൽമുദ്ദീനെ 1929 ൽ തൂക്കിലേറ്റി. ആര്യസമാജ പ്രവർത്തകനായ എം.എ. ചമുപതി എന്നൊരാളാണ് ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം രചിച്ചതെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നത്. പ്രസാധകൻ ഒരിക്കലും കർത്താവിന്റെ പേര് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയില്ല. സീതയെ വേശ്യയായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ച് ഒരു മുസൽമാൻ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ ലഘുലേഖയ്ക്ക് ബദലായാണ് ഈ കൃതി പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെട്ടത്. 1927 ൽ മുസ്ലീം സമുദായംഗങ്ങളുടെ സമ്മർദ്ദത്താൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഭരണാധികാരികൾ മതനിന്ദയ്ക്കെതിരായ 295(എ) വകുപ്പ് നടപ്പിലാക്കി.[5] ആക്റ്റ് XXV ക്രിമിനൽ നിയമ ഭേദഗതിയിലൂടെ, മത സ്ഥാപകരെയും നേതാക്കളെയും നിന്ദിക്കുന്നത് ക്രിമിനൽ കുറ്റമായി മാറി.
