ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ സാമൂഹിക പ്രവർത്തകനും[4] ആക്ടിവിസ്റ്റുമാണ്[5] രാമിസെട്ടി മുരളി (ജനനം 30 ജൂലൈ 1963) [6] ജലം, കൃഷി,[6] ബാലവേല ഉന്മൂലനം, ആരോഗ്യം, പോഷകാഹാരം[1], മാലിന്യ സംസ്കരണം എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പരിസ്ഥിതി, സിവിൽ സൊസൈറ്റി സംരംഭങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ പ്രാദേശിക ജലാശയമായ സൗത്ത് ഏഷ്യയിലെ ശുദ്ധജല പ്രവർത്തന ശൃംഖലയുടെ (FANSA)[7] തലവനാണ് മുരളി.[8] സെക്കന്തരാബാദ് ആസ്ഥാനമായുള്ള മോഡേൺ ആർക്കിടെക്‌ട്‌സ് ഫോർ റൂറൽ ഇന്ത്യ (MARI) യുടെ സ്ഥാപക-ഡയറക്‌ടറും കൂടിയാണ്.[9]
മുരളിയുടെ നവീകരണ സംരംഭങ്ങൾ പലർക്കും ആവേശം പകർന്നു.[10] മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട ലോകത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള തന്റെ ദർശനങ്ങളെ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യത്തിലേക്ക് വരയ്ക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നവരിൽ മുരളിയും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നുവെന്ന് BRINQ-ലെ പാട്രിക് ഡോണഹ്യൂ എഴുതി.[11]2011-ൽ, ജലസ്രോതസ്സുകളുടെ ഭീഷണിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിൽ ബറോണസ് കിന്നോക്ക് അധ്യക്ഷനായ ഒരു സർവകക്ഷി പാർലമെന്ററി ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ മുരളി സംസാരിച്ചു.[12] ഗ്രാമവികസനമാണ് മുരളിയുടെ താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാന ശ്രദ്ധാകേന്ദ്രം, കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏതാനും പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി പരിപാടികളിൽ സജീവമായി പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നു. ഭരണകൂടത്തിനെതിരായ ബലപ്രയോഗത്തിലൂടെ ദുരിതമനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങളെ ലഘൂകരിക്കാൻ നക്‌സലിസം ശ്രമിച്ചപ്പോൾ, പങ്കാളിത്ത മാനേജ്‌മെന്റിലൂടെയുള്ള മുരളിയുടെ സമീപനം വാറങ്കൽ ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ സ്‌കൂളുകൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ സഹായിച്ചത് സംസ്ഥാന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ ചൊടിപ്പിച്ചു.[1]
കരിയർ[തിരുത്തുക]
വാൾട്ടെയറിലും നാഗ്പൂരിലും സോഷ്യൽ വർക്ക് പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷം, മുരളി 1980-കളിൽ ഹൈദരാബാദ് ആസ്ഥാനമായുള്ള സെന്റർ ഫോർ എൻവയോൺമെന്റൽ കൺസേൺസിൽ സാമൂഹിക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആഹ്വാനത്തെ തുടർന്ന് തെലങ്കാനയിലെ വാറങ്കൽ മേഖല കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് മോഡേൺ ആർക്കിടെക്‌സ് ഫോർ റൂറൽ ഇന്ത്യ (MARI) ആരംഭിച്ചു.
