അമേരിക്കൻ സാമൂഹികശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും പെൻസിൽവാനിയ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിലെ സാമൂഹികശാസ്ത്രവിഭാഗം പ്രൊഫസ്സറുമായിരുന്നു ഫിലിപ്പ് റീഫ്.(ജ: ഡിസം: 15, 1922 –മ: ജൂലൈ 1, 2006).സിഗ്മണ്ട് ഫ്രോയിഡിന്റെ സംഭാവനകളെ അധികരിച്ച് നിരവധി കൃതികൾ അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
