അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ വാഷിങ്ടൺ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ദേശീയോദ്യാനമാണ് നോർത്ത് കാസ്കേഡ് ദേശീയോദ്യാനം (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: North Cascades National Park). നിരവധി വന മേഖലകളും ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് കൊളംബിയ ഉദ്യാനഭൂമിയും ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തോട് ചേർന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു. നോർത്ത് കാസ്കേഡ്സ് മലനിരകടുടെ ഒരു ഭാഗം ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.

നോർത്ത് കാസ്കേഡ്സ് ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിലേയും പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെയും മനുഷ്യ ചരിത്രം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത് 8-10,000 വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ്, അവസാന ഹിമയുഗത്തിന്റെ അവസാനത്തിനുശേഷമായിരുന്നു.[4] ഗ്ലേഷ്യൽ ഐസ് പിൻവാങ്ങവേ പാലിയോ-ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ പ്യൂഗെറ്റ് സൌണ്ടിൽനിന്ന് സാവധാനം ആന്തരിക പർവത മേഖലയിലേക്ക് മുന്നേറി. ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിൽനിന്ന് നൂറുകണക്കിന് മൈലുകൾ അകലെയുള്ള മറ്റ് സൈറ്റുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പുരാവസ്തു തെളിവുകൾ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്, ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെ നിർമ്മിതിയ്ക്ക് അനുയോജ്യമായ ഒരു തരം പാറയായ ഹൊസോമീൻ ചെർട്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞ 8,400 വർഷങ്ങളായി ദേശീയോദ്യാന അതിർത്തിക്ക് കിഴക്ക് ഹൊസോമീൻ പർവതത്തിനടുത്തുനിന്ന് ഖനനം ചെയ്തിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ്.[5]
