മരിയാന ഫ്രൂട്ട് ബാറ്റ് (Pteropus mariannus), മരിയാന ഫ്ലൈയിംഗ് ഫോക്സ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ചമോറോയിലെ ഫാനിഹിയിൽ, വടക്കൻ മരിയാന ദ്വീപുകളിലും ഉലിത്തിയിലും (കരോളിൻ ദ്വീപിലെ അടോലുകൾ)[2] മാത്രം കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു മെഗാബാറ്റാണ് ഇത്. ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നതിലൂടെ ഇതിന് വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിട്ടു. വേട്ടക്കാർ, ഭക്ഷണ വേട്ടക്കാർ, മറ്റു മൃഗങ്ങൾ, പ്രകൃതിദത്ത കാരണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയാൽ ഇവയുടെ എണ്ണം കുറയാനിടയായി.
