ഏഷ്യയുടെ തെക്ക് ഭാഗത്തും ഇന്ത്യയിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ചിത്രശലഭമാണ് കാട്ടുവരയൻ ആര അഥവാ കാട്ടുശരശലഭം (Plain Banded Awl)[2]. ശാസ്ത്രനാമം: Hasora vitta.[2][3][4]

ഇരുണ്ട തവിട്ടുനിറത്തിലുള്ള ഈ ശലഭത്തിന്റെ ചിറകുകളുടെ വീതി 45 മുതൽ 55 മിമി വരെയാണ്. ഈ സ്പീഷ്യസ് ശലഭത്തിൽ തന്നെ രണ്ട് വക ഭേദമുണ്ട്.
