ബ്രൈഡൽവ്രീത്ത്, ടെറ്റില തുടങ്ങിയവ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ഫ്രാങ്കോയ ജീനസിലെ ചെടികളുടെ ഒരു ചെറിയ കുടുംബമാണ് ഫ്രാങ്കോസി. ഫ്രാങ്കോസിയെ വിവിധ വർഗ്ഗീകരണ പദ്ധതികളിലാക്കി ഒരു കുടുംബമായി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ APG III സമ്പ്രദായമനുസരിച്ച് ഫ്രാങ്കോസിയെ മെലിയൻത്തസിയിൽ ആണ് ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.[1] APG IV സിസ്റ്റത്തിൽ ഫ്രാങ്കോസിയെ വീണ്ടും മെലിയൻത്തസി കുടുംബത്തിനോടൊപ്പം ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.[2]
