പല രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ടെലിഫോൺ സം‌വിധാനത്തിൽ പൊതുവായ ഒരു നമ്പർ അത്യാഹിത നമ്പറായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുതിനെയാണ്‌ അടിയന്തര ടെലിഫോൺ നമ്പർ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത്. ഏതെങ്കിലും അത്യാഹിത സമയത്ത് സഹായം ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ ഒരാളെ സഹായിക്കുന്ന ഒരു നമ്പറാണ്‌ ഇത്. വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ, ഈ അടിയന്തര നമ്പർ വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. എങ്കിലും എളുപ്പത്തിൽ ഓർത്തുവക്കാനും, ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുവാനും പറ്റുന്നവിധത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു മൂന്നക്ക സംഖ്യയായിരിക്കും ഇത്. ചില രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ വ്യത്യസ്ത അത്യാഹിത വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് ഈ നമ്പർ പലതായിരിക്കും.

അത്യാഹിത നമ്പറും മൊബൈൽ ഫോണുകളും[തിരുത്തുക]

എല്ലാ വിധ ജി.എസ്.എം., സി.ഡി.എം.എ മൊബൈൽ വഴിയും അത്യാഹിത നമ്പർ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യാനുള്ള സം‌വിധാനം ഉണ്ട്. എല്ലാ സിം കാർഡുകളിലും ഈ അത്യാഹിത നമ്പരുകൾ പ്രോഗ്രാം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടാവും. ഈ നമ്പറുകൾ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക അത്യാഹിത കാൾ ആണ്‌ മൊബൈൽ ഫോണുകളിൽ നിന്ന് പോകുന്നത്. ഈ നമ്പർ നെറ്റ്‌വർക്കിലോട്ട് ചിലപ്പോൾ പോകില്ലെങ്കിൽ സേവന ദാതാക്കളുടെ അത്യാഹിത നമ്പർ വഴി അതത് അത്യാഹിത വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഈ കാൾ പോകുന്നു.

ഇപ്പോൾ നിലവിലുള്ള എല്ലാ വിധ ജി.എസ്.എം. ഫോണുകളിലും ഫോൾ ലോക് ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും അത്യാഹിത നമ്പർ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുവാൻ സാധിക്കും. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ഒരു സിം കാർഡ് ഇല്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിലും ഒരു അത്യാഹിത കാൾ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുവാൻ സാധിക്കും. മിക്ക ജി.എസ്.എം. മൊബൈൽ ഫോണുകളിലും അത്യാഹിത നമ്പർ 112, 999 and 911 എന്നിവയായിരിക്കും.[1] അത് പോലെ തന്നെ അതത് രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ജി.എസ്.എം. മൊബൈൽ ദാതാക്കൾ നൽകുന്ന സിം കാർഡുകളിൽ ആ രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രത്യേക അത്യാഹിത നമ്പറും (ഇതിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമാണെങ്കിൽ) പ്രോഗ്രാം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടാകും. ചില ജി.എസ്.എം. നെറ്റ്വർക്കുകളിൽ സിം കാർഡ് ഇല്ലാതെ തന്നെ അത്യാഹിത ടെലിഫോൺ നമ്പർ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുവാൻ സാധിക്കും. ഇതിൽ പ്രധാനമായും 112, 911, 118, 119, 000, 110, 08, and 999 എന്നീ നമ്പറുകളാണ്‌ ഡയൽ ചെയ്യുവാൻ സാധിക്കുക. എന്നാൽ ചില രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ജി.എസ്.എം. നെറ്റ്വർക്കുകൾ സിം കാർഡ് ഇല്ലാതെ അത്യഹിത കാളുകൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാറില്ല. കൂടാതെ സിം കാർഡിൽ ക്രെഡിറ്റ് ബാലസും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ചിലത് ലാറ്റിൻ അമേരിക്കൻ, ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളാണ്‌.

അത്യാഹിത നമ്പറും ഐ.പി നെറ്റ്വർക്കും[തിരുത്തുക]

ജനുവരി 2008, ൽ ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് എൻ‌ജിനീയറിംഗ് ടാസ്ക് ഫോർഴ്സ് IETF ഐ.പി ഡാറ്റ നെറ്റ്‌വർക്കുകളിൽ അത്യാഹിത കാൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കാനുള്ള ആർ.എഫ്.സി അംഗീകരിച്ചു.[2]
