മെഡിക്കൽ കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ ബിസി റോയിയുടെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കായി 1962 ൽ ബിദാൻ ചന്ദ്ര റോയ് അവാർഡ് ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി. ഇനിപ്പറയുന്ന ഓരോ വിഭാഗത്തിലും വർഷം തോറും അവാർഡ് നൽകുന്നു: ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന ഓർഡറിന്റെ സ്റ്റേറ്റ്‌സ്മാൻഷിപ്പ്, മെഡിക്കൽ മാൻ-കം-സ്റ്റേറ്റ്‌സ്മാൻ, പ്രമുഖ മെഡിക്കൽ പേഴ്‌സൺ, ഫിലോസഫിയിലെ പ്രമുഖ വ്യക്തി, ശാസ്ത്രത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖ വ്യക്തി, കലയിലെ പ്രമുഖ വ്യക്തി. [1] ദേശീയ ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ ദിനമായ ജൂലൈ ഒന്നിന് ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിൽ ഇന്ത്യ രാഷ്ട്രപതി ഇത് നൽകുന്നു. ഇത് ആദ്യം 1973 ൽ ന്യൂഡൽഹി വില്ലിങ്ടൺ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലെ (ഇപ്പോൾ റാം മനോഹർ ലോഹ്യ ആശുപത്രി) സന്ദീപ് മുകർജിക്ക് FRCS അന്നത്തെ ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രസിഡന്റായിരുന്ന വി.വി. ഗിരി സമ്മാനിച്ചു.
