ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ന്യൂറോ ഫിസിയോളജിസ്റ്റ്, ന്യൂറോഫാർമക്കോളജിസ്റ്റ്, [1] ഫാർമക്കോളജി ആൻഡ് എക്സ്പിരിമെന്റൽ തെറാപ്പിറ്റിക്സ് വകുപ്പിന്റെ മുൻ മേധാവി, ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് കെമിക്കൽ ബയോളജി ഡയറക്ടർ എന്നീ സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വഹിച്ച ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രകാരനാണ് ദിലീപ് കുമാർ ഗാംഗുലി (ജനനം 1940). [2] [3] പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാളിലെ കൊൽക്കത്തയിൽ 1940 ജനുവരി 4 ന് ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം പാർക്കിൻസോണിസത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള [4] ഗവേഹ്സ്ണങ്ങൾ കൂടാതെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ന്യൂറോഫാർമക്കോളജിക്കൽ പഠനങ്ങൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ നടത്തിയ വ്യക്തിയാണ്.[5] അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഗവേഷണങ്ങൾ അവലോകനം ചെയ്ത ഓരോ ജേണലുകളിലെയും നിരവധി ലേഖനങ്ങളുടെ വഴി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. [6] കൂടാതെ അദ്ദേഹം മറ്റുള്ളവർ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ അധ്യായങ്ങൾ സംഭാവന ചെയ്തു തന്റെ സൃഷ്ടി പലഗവേഷകരും ഉദ്ധരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [7] [8] [9] ഇന്ത്യൻ അക്കാദമി ഓഫ് ന്യൂറോ സയൻസസിന്റെ സ്ഥാപക ഫെലോ ആയ അദ്ദേഹം അതിന്റെ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [10] ശാസ്ത്ര ഗവേഷണത്തിനായുള്ള ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ പരമോന്നത ഏജൻസിയായ കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് സയന്റിഫിക് ആൻഡ് ഇൻഡസ്ട്രിയൽ റിസർച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയ്ക്കുള്ള ശാന്തി സ്വരൂപ് ഭട്നഗർ സമ്മാനം നൽകി . 1985 ൽ മെഡിക്കൽ സയൻസിന് നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകൾക്കുള്ള ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ സയൻസ് അവാർഡുകളിലൊന്നാണിത്.
