ദ്രാവക അമോണിയയിൽ കാൽസ്യം, ഹൈഡ്രജൻ സെലെനൈഡ് (H2Se) എന്നിവയുടെ പ്രതിപ്രവർത്തനത്തിലൂടെ കാൽസ്യം സെലിനൈഡ് തയ്യാറാക്കാം. [2]
- Ca + H2Se = CaSe + H2
കാൽസ്യം സെലനൈഡ് ഉയർന്ന താപനിലയിൽ വാക്വം ഇൻഡിയം (III) സെലിനൈഡുമായി പ്രതിപ്രവർത്തിച്ച് CaIn2Se4 ഉണ്ടാവുന്നു . [3]
