പഞ്ചാബ് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ ഒരു ജില്ലയാണ് '''ബഠിംഡാ''' (Punjabi: ਬਠਿੰਡਾ) (Hindi: बठिंडा). ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശന കവാടം എന്നർത്ഥം വരുന്ന തബർ എ - ഹിന്ദ് എന്ന പേരിലാണ് ഈ സ്ഥലം അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. 3,344 ചതുരശ്ര കി.മീ. വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഈ ജില്ലയുടെ അതിരുകൾ വടക്ക് ഫരീദ്കോട്ട് ജില്ലയും മോഗ ജില്ലയും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് മുകാത്സർ ജില്ലയും കിഴക്ക് ബർണാല, മാസ ജില്ലകളുമാണ്. തെക്ക് ഹരിയാന സംസ്ഥാനവുമാണ്.പഞ്ചാബിന്റെ കോട്ടൺ ഉത്പാദന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ ഈ ബെൽറ്റിലാണ്.
ചരിത്രം
[തിരുത്തുക]1948 ൽ പെപ്സുവിന്റെ ആവിർഭാവത്തോടെയാണ് ഈ ജില്ല നിലവിൽ വന്നത്. ജില്ലയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനമായി 1952 വരെ ഫരീദ്കോട്ടും പിന്നീട് ബഠിംഡായുമായി.
ജനസംഖ്യ
[തിരുത്തുക]2011 സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ബഠിംഡാ ജില്ലയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 1,388,859,[3] ആണ്. ഹവായിയുടെ ജനസംഖ്യയോളം വരുമിത്. [4] ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ 352 ആം സ്ഥാനമാണ് ബഠിംഡായ്ക്ക്. ജനസാന്ദ്രത ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 414 ആണ്. 414 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,070/sq mi) .[3] 2001–2011 ദശകത്തിലെ ജനപ്പെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ തോത് 17.37%.[3] യിലെ സ്ത്രീ - പുരുഷ അനുപാതം 865 സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് 1000 പുരുഷന്മാരാണ്,[3] സാക്ഷരതാ നിരക്ക് 69.6%.[3]
പഞ്ചാബിലെ ഒൻപതാമത്തെ വലിയ ജില്ലയാണ് ബഠിംഡാ, ജനസംഖ്യ 1,183,295.[5]
ഭരണകൂടം
[തിരുത്തുക]നാലു താലൂക്കുകളാണ് ഈ ജില്ലയിലുള്ളത്. ബഠിംഡാ, രാംപുര ഫൂൽ, മൗർ, തൽവാണ്ടി സാബോ എന്നിവയാണവ. ഇവയെ ഒൻപത് ബ്ലോക്കുകളായി വിഭജിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ബഠിംഡാ, രാംപുര, ഫൂൽ, മൗർ, തൽവാണ്ടി സാബോ, സംഗത്, നഥാന, ബാലിയൻവാലി, ഭഗ്താ ഭായി കാ, എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒൻപതു ബ്ലോക്കുകളാണുള്ളത്.[6]
