കിഴക്കൻ ഏഷ്യയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരിനം പക്ഷിയാണ് ചാരക്കുരുവി (Aashy minivet) (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Pericrocotus divaricatus). മിക്ക മിനിവെറ്റുകളും മഞ്ഞ, ഓറഞ്ച്, ചുവപ്പ് നിറമുള്ളവയാണ്. എന്നാൽ ഈ പക്ഷി മാത്രമെ മഞ്ഞ, ചാര നിറം, വെള്ള നിറം ഉള്ളതായുള്ളു. മിനിവെറ്റുകളിൽ ഏറ്റവും ദൂരത്തേക്ക് ദേശാടനം നടത്തുന്ന പക്ഷിയാണിത്.[2]
രൂപ വിവരണം[തിരുത്തുക]
18.5- 20 സെ.മീ നീളം പൂവന് മുക്കളിൽ ചാര നിറം. അടിയിൽ വെള്ള നിറം ആണുള്ളത്. കറുത്ത ഉച്ച്യും വെള്ള നെറ്റിയും ഉണ്ട്. പറക്കൽ ചിറകുകളിൽ കുറുകെ വെള്ള നിറമുണ്ട്. വാലിന്റെ വശങ്ങളിൽ വെഌഅ നിറമുണ്ട്. കൊക്കും കാലും കറുത്തതാണ്.ഉച്ചി കറുത്തതാണ്. പിടയുടെ ഉച്ചി ചാരനിറത്തിലാണ്. പിടയ്ക്ക് കൊക്കിനും കണ്ണിനും ഇടയിൽ കറുത്ത വരയുണ്ട്. അതിനു മുകളിൽ വെള്ളയും. പ്രജനനം[തിരുത്തുക]
ഇവ തെക്കു കിഴക്ക് സൈബീരിയ, വടക്കു കിഴക്ക്ചൈന’ കൊറിയ’,ജപ്പാൻ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു. 4-7 മുട്ടകളിടുന്നു.മുട്ടകൾ 17-18 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് വിരിയുന്നു.
വിതരണം[തിരുത്തുക]
തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് തെക്ക്, തെക്കു കിഴക്കൻഏഷ്യ, സുമാത്ര, ബോർണിയോ, ഫിലിപ്പീൻസ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ദേശാടനം നടത്തുന്നു.
ഭക്ഷണം[തിരുത്തുക]
വൃക്ഷ തലപ്പുകളിലെ പ്രാണികളെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.[4][5]
ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇവയെ 1961 ലാണ് കണ്ടതായി രേഖപ്പെടുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.[6] 1897ൽ ആന്തമാനിൽ കണ്ടതായി രേഖകളൂണ്ട്.[7] [6][8][9][10][11]
