സൂചിവാലൻ കല്ലൻതുമ്പി കുടുബത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു കല്ലൻതുമ്പിയാണ് പീതാംബരൻ (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Anax indicus). ഇന്ത്യ, നേപ്പാൾ, പാകിസ്താൻ, ശ്രീലങ്ക, തായ്‌ലാന്റ് എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇവ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.[2]

കുളങ്ങളിലും തടാകങ്ങളിലുമാണ് ഇവ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നത്. ഇവക്ക് മരതക രാജൻ തുമ്പിയുമായി വളരെ സാമ്യമുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ഉദരത്തിലെ ഏഴും എട്ടും ഖണ്ഡങ്ങളിലുള്ള കൂടിച്ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന മഞ്ഞക്കലകൾ ഇവയെ തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു. അവ കാഴ്ചയിൽ മഞ്ഞവരകൾ പോലെ തോന്നും. മരതക രാജനിൽ അവ വേറിട്ടുനിക്കുന്ന പൊട്ടുകളാണ്.[3][4][5]
