ഈസ്ട്രജൻ മാറ്റിസ്ഥാപിക്കൽ തെറാപ്പിയിലും സ്ത്രീകളിലെ സ്തനാർബുദത്തിനും പുരുഷന്മാരിലെ പ്രോസ്റ്റേറ്റ് ക്യാൻസറിനും ചില ഗൈനക്കോളജിക്കൽ ഡിസോർഡേഴ്സിന്റെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കും ഹെക്‌സെസ്ട്രോൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നു.[2]

ഹെക്‌സെസ്ട്രോൾ, ഡൈഹൈഡ്രോഡിതൈൽസ്റ്റിൽബെസ്ട്രോൾ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു, ഇത് ഡൈതൈൽസ്റ്റിൽബെസ്ട്രോളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സ്റ്റിൽബെസ്ട്രോൾ ഗ്രൂപ്പിലെ ഒരു സിന്തറ്റിക് നോൺ- സ്റ്റിറോയിഡൽ ഈസ്ട്രജനാണ് .
