കാപ്രോയിക് ആസിഡ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഹെക്സാനോയിക് ആസിഡ്, ഹെക്സെയ്നിൽ നിന്ന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന CH3(CH2)4COOH രാസസൂത്രമുള്ള കാർബോക്സിലിക് ആസിഡ് ആണ്. ഇത് വർണ്ണരഹിതമായ എണ്ണമയമുള്ള ദ്രാവകമാണ്. ഇത് മണമുള്ളതും, കൊഴുപ്പുള്ളതും, പാൽക്കട്ടിയുടെ പ്രകൃതിയുള്ളതും, മെഴുകു പോലെയുള്ളതും ആണ്.
