ഹംബോൾട്ട് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ബർലിൻ, (ജർമ്മൻ: Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, HU ബെർലിൻ എന്ന ചുരുക്കപ്പേര്) ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ബെർലിനിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കംചെന്ന സർവകലാശാലകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. 1811 ഒക്ടോബർ 15 ന് പ്രഷ്യയിലെ ഫ്രെഡറിക് വില്ല്യം മൂന്നാമൻ, ലിബറൽ പ്രഷ്യൻ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരിവർത്തകനും ഭാഷാശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനുമായ വിൽഹെം വോൺ ഹംബോൾട്ടിൻറെ പ്രേരണയാൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ച സർവ്വകലാശാലയാണ്. ഹംബോൾട്ടിയൻ മാതൃകയിലുള്ള ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന് ലോകവ്യാപകമായി ഈ സർവ്വകലാശാല അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സമ്പ്രദായം മറ്റു യൂറോപ്യൻ, പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ സർവകലാശാലകളിൽ ശക്തമായി സ്വാധീനം ചെലുത്തുകയും, അതിനാൽത്തന്നെ സർവ്വകലാശാല "എല്ലാ ആധുനിക സർവകലാശാലകളുടേയും മാതാവ്" എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.[4]

ഈ സർവ്വകലാശാല, 41 നോബൽ സമ്മാന ജേതാക്കളുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും, യൂറോപ്പിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച സർവകലാശാലകളിലൊന്നായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. കൂടാതെ കല, മാനവികത എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും അഭിമാനകരമായ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിലൊന്നാണ് ഹംബോൾട്ട് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ബർലിൻ.[5][6]
