സൂസൻ പ്ലെഷെറ്റ് (ജീവതകാലം: ജനുവരി 31, 1937 - ജനുവരി 19, 2008) ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ നാടക, ചലച്ചിത്ര, ടെലിവിഷൻ, ശബ്ദ നടിയായിരുന്നു.[1] തിയേറ്ററിലൂടെ തന്റെ കരിയർ ആരംഭിച്ച പ്ലെഷെറ്റ് 1950 കളുടെ അവസാനത്തിൽ സിനിമകളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ തുടങ്ങുകയും പിന്നീട് റോം അഡ്വഞ്ചർ (1962), ആൽഫ്രഡ് ഹിച്ച്‌കോക്കിന്റെ ദി ബേർഡ്സ് (1963), സ്പിരിറ്റഡ് എവേ (2001) തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രമുഖ സിനിമകളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് വിവിധ ടെലിവിഷൻ പ്രൊഡക്ഷനുകളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ തുടങ്ങിയ അവർ പലപ്പോഴും അതിഥി വേഷങ്ങളിലും പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടതോടൊപ്പം 1972 മുതൽ 1978 വരെ ദി ബോബ് ന്യൂഹാർട്ട് ഷോയിൽ എമിലി ഹാർട്ട്ലി എന്ന കഥാപാത്രമായി അഭിനയിക്കുകയും ഇത് നിരവധി എമ്മി അവാർഡ് നാമനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന് കാരണമാകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Suzanne Pleshette, the husky-voiced actress who redefined the television sitcom wife in the 1970s, playing the smart, sardonic Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show, died Saturday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 70. Ms. Pleshette died of respiratory failure, her lawyer, Robert Finkelstein, told The Associated Press. Ms. Pleshette had undergone chemotherapy in 2006 for lung cancer.
