പശ്ചിമാഫ്രിക്കൻ രാജ്യമായ നൈജീരിയയുടെ തെക്ക്-കിഴക്കൻ ഭാഗത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇമോ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ്[4] സാന്ദ്ര അച്ചുംസ് ജനിച്ചത്. അവരുടെ പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, സെക്കൻഡറി, തൃതീയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം എല്ലാം ലാഗോസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. അവർ ഐസോലോ ലാഗോസിലെ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് കോളേജിൽ ചേർന്നു.[5]

1995-ൽ ഡെഡ്‌ലി അഫയർ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ നൈജീരിയൻ സിനിമാ വ്യവസായത്തിലേക്ക് അച്ചുംസ് പ്രവേശിച്ചു. അവിടെ ഡോളി ഉനചുക്വു, ജിഡെ കൊസോക്കോ, എമേക ഇകെ തുടങ്ങിയ മറ്റ് നോളിവുഡ് അഭിനേതാക്കൾക്കൊപ്പം അഭിനയിച്ചു. [6] ഈ സിനിമ ഒടുവിൽ ഒരു ക്ലാസിക് ആയി മാറുകയും അവരുടെ പൊതുജനശ്രദ്ധയിലേക്കുള്ള ചവിട്ടുപടിയായി മാറുകയും ചെയ്തു.[3]

സ്വകാര്യ ജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

2006-ൽ അച്ചുംസ് നൈജീരിയയിൽ നിന്ന് ജർമ്മനിയിലേക്ക് [7] താമസം മാറി. ഇപ്പോൾ അവിടെ മക്കളും[8][9] ടോണി എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഭർത്താവും താമസിക്കുന്നു.
