ഇന്ത്യക്കാരനായ ഒരു സന്തൂർ[2][3] വാദകനായിരുന്നു ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ എന്ന പണ്ഡിറ്റ് ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ (Pandit Shivkumar Sharma). (13 ജനുവരി 1938 – 10 മെയ് 2022).[1][4][3]ജമ്മു കാശ്മീരിൽ നിന്നുമുള്ള ഒരു നാടോടി സംഗീതോപകരണമാണ് സന്തൂർ.[1][5][6]

ആദ്യകാലജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

പാട്ടുകാരനായ ഉമാദത്ത് ശർമ്മയുടെ[7] മകനായി ജമ്മുവിലാണ് ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ ജനിച്ചത്.[8][9] അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മാതൃഭാഷ ദോഗ്രിയാണ്.[7] അഞ്ചുവയസ്സുമാത്രമുള്ളപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ പിതാവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വായ്പ്പാട്ടും തബലയും അഭ്യസിപ്പിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.[9] സന്തൂർ എന്ന ഉപകരണത്തിൽ വളരെ ഗാഢമായി ഗവേഷണം നടത്തിയ ഉമാദത്ത് തന്റെ മകനാവണം ആ ഉപകരണത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ശാസ്ത്രീയസംഗീതം ആദ്യമായി വായിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ ശിവകുമാർ പതിമൂന്നാം വയസ്സിൽ സന്തൂർ അഭ്യസിച്ചുതുടങ്ങുകയും.[9] തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ സ്വപ്നം സഫലമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്റ്റു.[1]മുംബൈയിൽ 1965 -ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ആദ്യമായി കച്ചേരി നടത്തി.

സംഗീതജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ 1988 -ൽ

സന്തൂറിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രമുഖനായ കലാകാരനാണ് ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ. സന്തൂറിനെ ജനകീയമാക്കുനതിൽ അദ്ദേഹം വഹിച്ച പങ്ക് നിസ്തുലമാണ്.[5][10] പാട്ടുപഠിക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത് താൻ ഒരിക്കലും ഈ ഉപകരണം പഠിക്കുമെന്ന് ഓർത്തില്ലെന്നും തന്റെ പിതാവാണ് താൻ ഇതു പഠിക്കണമെന്ന് തീരുമാനിച്ചതെന്നും 1999 -ൽ ഒരു അഭിമുഖത്തിൽ ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ പറയുകയുണ്ടായി.[9] 1967 -ൽ ഹരിപ്രസാദ് ചൗരസ്യയും ബ്രിജ് ഭൂഷൻ കാബ്രയുമായിച്ചേർന്ന് ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ താഴ്‌വരയുടെ വിളി എന്ന സംഗീത ആൽബം ഇന്ത്യൻ ശാസ്ത്രീയസംഗീത രംഗത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച വിജയങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായിത്തീർന്നു.[1][10] ചൗരസ്യയുമായിച്ചേർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പല ഹിന്ദി ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്കും സംഗീതം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[11] ഇവർ രണ്ടുപേരും ചേർന്നുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ 'ശിവ-ഹരി' എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇവർ സംഗീതം നൽകിയ ചില സിനിമകളായ ഫാസ്‌ലെ, ചാന്ദ്‌നി, ലാംഹേ, ദാർ എന്നിവ സംഗീത ഹിറ്റുകളായിരുന്നു.

കുടുംബം[തിരുത്തുക]

മനോരമയാണ് ശിവകുമാർ ശർമ്മയുടെ ഭാര്യ,.[7][12]രൺറ്റ് ആണ്മകളാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഉള്ളത്.[9] അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മകനായ രാഹുലും[13][14]ഒരു സന്തൂർ വാദകനാണ്.[15][16]1996 മുതൽ അച്ഛനും മകനും ഒരുമിച്ചു കച്ചേരി നടത്തിവരുന്നു.[9]

ശിവകുമാർ ശർമയ്ക്ക് ധാരാളം അംഗീകാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1986 -ൽ സംഗീതനാടക അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്,[17] 1991 -ൽ പദ്മശ്രീ, 2001 -ൽ പദ്മ വിഭൂഷൻ[18] എന്നിവ ഇവയിൽ പ്രമുഖമായ ചിലതാണ്.
