ഓർഗാനിക് വേസ്റ്റ് കൻവേർട്ടർ ടെക്‌നോളജിയുപയോഗിച്ച് മാലിന്യത്തെ വളമാക്കി മാറ്റുന്ന, കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ ജൈവമാലിന്യസംസ്കരണ പ്ലാന്റാണ് ശക്തൻ തമ്പുരാൻ ജൈവമാലിന്യ സംസ്കരണ പ്ലാന്റ്.[1] ഇത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത് തൃശ്ശൂർ നഗരത്തിലെ ശക്തൻ തമ്പുരാൻ നഗറിലാണ്. ശക്തൻ മാർക്കറ്റിലെ പച്ചക്കറി മാലിന്യത്തെ സംസ്കരിക്കുന്നത് ഈ പ്ലാന്റ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ്.[2][3][4][5]
