വില്യം ഹെൻറി
ഒരു ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് രസതന്ത്രജ്ഞനായ വില്യം ഹെൻറി, എഡിൻബെറോ കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ബിരുദം നേടി. എന്നാൽ ചില ആരോഗ്യപ്രശ്നങ്ങളാൽ ഡോക്ടറായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.[1] അതുകൊണ്ട് രസതന്ത്രഗവേഷണങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടു. വ്യത്യസ്ത മർദ്ദത്തിലും, താപനിലയിലും ജലം ആഗിരണം ചെയ്യുന്ന വാതകങ്ങളുടെ അളവ് കണ്ടെത്തി. ഈ കണ്ടെത്തൽ ഹെൻറി നിയമം എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.[2]

[തിരുത്തുക]തോമസ് ഹെൻറി അപ്പോത്തിക്കരിയുടെ പുത്രനായി 1774 ഡിസംബർ 12നു ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലെ മാഞ്ചസ്റ്ററിൽ ജനിച്ചു.[3] [4]
