പൂവ്ക്കന്, ഗുര്ഗോണ്

വിറവാലൻ കുരുവിയ്ക്ക്^[2] ^[3]^[4]^[5] ആംഗലത്തില് Black Redstart എന്നാണ് പേര്. ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം Phoenicurus ochruros എന്നാണ്. കുറേ ഉപവിഭാഗങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട്.

വിവരണം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഇവയ്ക്ക് 13-14 സെ.മീ നീളവും 12–20 ഗ്രം തൂക്കവും വരും. കടുത്ത ചാര നിറം മുതൽ കറുപ്പു വരെയുള്ള മേൽഭാഗവും കറുത്ത നെഞ്ചും അരപ്പട്ടയും വാലും ഓറഞ്ചു കലർന്ന ചുവപ്പ് നിറം. ചിറകുകൾ കറുപ്പു കലർന്ന ചാരനിറം. വാലിന്റെ നടുവിലെ രണ്ടു തൂവലുകൾ കരിംചുവപ്പു നിറം. വയറും ചിറകിന്റെ അടിവശവും കറുപ്പു കലർന്ന ചാരനിറം.

തെക്കേ - മദ്ധ്യയൂറോപ്പ്, ഏഷ്യ, വടക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ആഫ്രിക്ക, ഗ്രേറ്റ് ബ്രിട്ടൻ, അയർ‌ലൻറ്, മൊറോക്കൊ, ചൈനയുടെ കിഴക്കു തൊട്ട് മദ്ധ്യം വരെ ഇവയെ കാണാം. തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ യൂറോപ്പ്, ഏഷ്യ, വടക്കേ ആഫ്രിക്ക എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ദേശാടനം നടത്തും.
