ലെറ്റിഷ്യ മക്ലിന്റോക്ക് (12 ഫെബ്രുവരി 1835-1917), എഴുത്തുകാരിയും ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാദേശിക ഐറിഷ് നാടോടി ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞയുമായിരുന്നു.

1835 ഫെബ്രുവരി 12 ന് കൗണ്ടി ഡൊനെഗലിൽ റോബർട്ട് മക്ലിന്റോക്കിന്റെയും മാർഗരറ്റ് മക്കന്റെയും മകളായി ലെറ്റിഷ്യ മക്ലിന്റോക്ക് ജനിച്ചു. ജീവിതകാലം മുഴുവൻ അവർ കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം താമസിച്ചു. താൻ വളർന്ന ഡൺ‌മോറിനും കിൽ‌റിയയ്ക്കും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള നാടോടി കഥകളുടെ എഴുത്തുകാരിയായും സമാഹർത്താവായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. 1878-ൽ അവർ ഡബ്ലിൻ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി മാഗസിനിൽ സംഭാവന നൽകി. ആന്റി-ലാൻഡ് ലീഗ് സ്വരമുള്ള നോവലുകളും അവർ എഴുതി. ഡബ്ല്യു.ബി. യീറ്റ്‌സിന് അവരുടെ നാടോടി കഥകളെക്കുറിച്ച് വളരെയധികം മതിപ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 1888-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഫെയറി ആൻഡ് ഫോക്ക് ടെയിൽസ് ഓഫ് ഐറിഷ് പീസെന്ററി പുസ്തകത്തിൽ നിരവധി കഥകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1901-ൽ ഡെറിയിലെ ആർഡ്‌മോറിലെ സഹോദരി ആലീസ് സ്മിത്തിനൊപ്പവും 1911-ൽ ക്ലോണ്ടാവാഡോഗിലെ ക്രോഗ്രോസിലെ സഹോദരി ഇസബെൽ ബാർട്ടനുമൊപ്പമായിരുന്നു അവർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നത്. 1917-ൽ മക്ലിന്റോക്ക് മരിച്ചു.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
