മുമ്പ് L. ഒഫിഷിനാലിസ് ആയിരുന്ന ലാവൻഡുല അങ്കുസ്റ്റിഫോളിയ ( Lavandula angustifolia ) ( ലാവെൻഡർ, ട്രൂ ലാവെൻഡർ, ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ലാവെൻഡർ [1]( ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് സ്വദേശിയല്ലെങ്കിലും), ഗാർഡൻ ലാവെൻഡർ, [2] കോമൺ ലാവെൻഡർ, നാരോ-ലീവ്ഡ് ലാവെൻഡർ) ലാമിയേസി സസ്യകുടുംബത്തിലെ സപുഷ്പി സസ്യമാണ്. മെഡിറ്ററേനിയൻ (സ്പെയിൻ, ഫ്രാൻസ്, ഇറ്റലി, ക്രൊയേഷ്യ തുടങ്ങിയവ) പ്രദേശത്തെ സ്വദേശിയാണ്.
