1899 ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഒരു ഫ്രഞ്ച് ബഹുരാഷ്ട്ര വാഹന നിർമ്മാതാവാണ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് റെനോ. കാറുകളും വാനുകളും നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന കമ്പനി മുൻപ് ട്രക്കുകൾ, ട്രാക്ടറുകൾ, ടാങ്കുകൾ, ബസുകൾ, വിമാനം, വിമാന എഞ്ചിനുകൾ, ഓട്ടോറെയിൽ വാഹനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരുന്നു.[8] വാഹന നിർമാതാക്കളുടെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സംഘടനയുടെ (Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles) കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് ഉൽപാദന എണ്ണത്തിൽ 2016ൽ റെനോ ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഒമ്പതാമത്തെ വാഹന നിർമാതാക്കളായിരുന്നു.[9] 2017 ആയപ്പോഴേക്കും ആഗോളതലത്തിൽ റെനോ-നിസ്സാൻ-മിത്സുബിഷി സഖ്യം ലഘു വാഹനങ്ങൾ വിൽക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും വലിയ കമ്പനിയായി മാറി.[10]
