പെറ്റിവെറേസീ സസ്യകുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു ജനുസ് ആണ് റിവിന (Rivina).[3] ജർമൻ സസ്യശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ അഗസ്റ്റസ് ക്വിറിനസ് റിവിനസിന്റെ (1652-1723) ബഹുമാനാർഥമാണ് ഈ ജനുസ് നാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.[4]
