Evista എന്ന ബ്രാൻഡ് നാമത്തിൽ വിൽക്കുന്ന റലോക്സിഫീൻ, ആർത്തവവിരാമം സംഭവിച്ച സ്ത്രീകളിലും ഗ്ലൂക്കോകോർട്ടിക്കോയിഡുകൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരിലും^[5] ഓസ്റ്റിയോപൊറോസിസ് തടയുന്നതിനും ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന മരുന്നാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്:Raloxifene, ഓസ്റ്റിയോപൊറോസിസിന് ഇത് ബിസ്ഫോസ്ഫോണേറ്റുകളേക്കാൾ ഇഫക്റ്റ് കുറവാണ്.^[5] ഉയർന്ന അപകടസാധ്യതയുള്ളവരിൽ സ്തനാർബുദ സാധ്യത കുറയ്ക്കാനും ഇത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. വായിലൂടെയാണ് എടുക്കുന്നത്.^[5]

സാധാരണ പാർശ്വഫലങ്ങളിൽ ഹോട്ട് ഫ്ലാഷുകൾ, കാലിലെ മലബന്ധം, വീക്കം, സന്ധി വേദന എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു^[5]. ഗുരുതരമായ പാർശ്വഫലങ്ങളിൽ രക്തം കട്ടപിടിക്കുന്നതും ഹൃദയാഘാതവും ഉൾപ്പെടാം.^[5] ഗർഭകാലത്ത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് കുഞ്ഞിന് ദോഷം ചെയ്യും^[5]. മരുന്ന് കഴിക്കുന്നത് ആർത്തവ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളെ വഷളാക്കും.^[6] റലോക്സിഫെൻ ഒരു സെലക്ടീവ് ഈസ്ട്രജൻ റിസപ്റ്റർ മോഡുലേറ്ററാണ് (എസ്ഇആർഎം) അതിനാൽ ഈസ്ട്രജൻ റിസപ്റ്ററിന്റെ (ഇആർ)^[5] മിക്സഡ് അഗോണിസ്റ്റ്-എതിരാളി. ഇത് എല്ലുകളിൽ ഈസ്ട്രജനിക് ഫലങ്ങളും സ്തനങ്ങളിലും ഗർഭാശയത്തിലും ആന്റിസ്ട്രജനിക് ഫലങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്.^[5]
