ജീവിതരേഖ
[തിരുത്തുക]രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധ കാലത്ത് ജാപ്പനീസ് ബഹു-മാധ്യമ കലാകാരിയും സംഗീതജ്ഞയും സന്നദ്ധപ്രവർത്തകയുമായ യോക്കോ ഓനോയുടെ കുടുംബം അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക് കുടിയേറുമ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് 19 വയസായിരുന്നു. ന്യൂയോർക്കിലെ യുദ്ധാനന്തര ആശയ കേന്ദ്രീകൃത കലാപ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ പ്രധാനിയായ യോക്കോ യൂറോപ്യൻ കലാപ്രസ്ഥാമായ 'ദാദ'യിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രചോ ദനം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് 1960-കളിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ 'ഫ്ളക്സസ്' എന്ന അവാന്തെ ഗാർഡ് ഗ്രൂപ്പുമായി വളരെ അടുത്തബന്ധം പുലർത്തി. 1969-ൽ ഇവർ ബീറ്റിൽസ് അംഗമായ ജോൺ ലെന്നനെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ബീറ്റിൽസുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. ലെനനുമായി ചേർന്ന് സംഗീതത്തിലും യുദ്ധവിരുദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള തന്റെ പങ്കാളിത്തം ഓനോയെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്രതലത്തിൽ പ്രശസ്തയാക്കി.
