യൂജിൻ ജോസഫ് ഡെൽപോർട്ട് (10 ജനുവരി 1882 - 19 ഒക്ടോബർ 1955) ഒരു ബെൽജിയൻ ജ്യോതിഃശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ ആയിരുന്നു[1] [2] അറുപത്തിയാറ് ഛിന്നഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ കണ്ടെത്തലുകളിൽ 1221 അമോർ, അപ്പോളോ, 2101 അഡോണിസ് എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു . [1] 57 പി / ഡു ടോയിറ്റ്-ന്യൂജ്മിൻ-ഡെൽപോർട്ട് ഉൾപ്പെടെ ചില ധൂമകേതുക്കളെയും അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. ബെൽജിയൻ റോയൽ ഒബ്സർവേറ്ററിയിലാണ് ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. 1903 ൽ ബ്രസ്സൽസിലെ ഫ്രീ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് നേടി[3]
