സെറാടോപിയ എന്ന കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു ദിനോസർ ആണ് യിൻലോങ്ങ്‌ . ശാസ്ത്രത്തിനു കിട്ടിയ ഫോസ്സിലുകളുടെ പഠനത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഈ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രാചീനമായ അംഗം ആണ് ഇവയെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിടുണ്ട്. അന്ത്യ ജുറാസ്സിക് കാലത്ത് ആണ് ഇവ ജിവിച്ചിരുന്നത്, കിട്ടിയിട്ടുള്ള ഫോസ്സിലുകൾ വെച്ചു നോക്കുപ്പോൾ യിൻലോങ്ങ്‌ ഒഴിച്ച് മറ്റു ഈ കുടുംബത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഉള്ള എല്ലാ ദിനോസറുകളും ക്രിറ്റേഷ്യസ് കാലത്ത് നിന്നും ഉള്ളവയാന്നു.[1] ഇവയുടെ ഫോസ്സിൽ കണ്ടു കിട്ടിയിടുള്ളത് ചൈനയിൽ നിന്നും ആണ്. ഇവ ചെറിയ ഇരുകാലി ആയ ഒരു സസ്യഭോജി ആയിരുന്നു.
പേര്[തിരുത്തുക]
പേര് വരുനത്‌ രണ്ടു ചൈനീസ് വാക്കുകളിൽ നിന്നും ആണ് . 隱 : യിൻ അർഥം ഒളിച്ചിരികുക, 龍 : ലോങ്ങ്‌ അർഥം വ്യാളി എന്നും ആണ് .
ശരീര ഘടന[തിരുത്തുക]
യിൻലോങ്ങിന് ഏകദേശം 1.2 മീറ്റർ (4 അടി) നീളവും 15 കിലോയോളം ഭാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി കണക്കാക്കുന്നു.[2]
ആഹാര രീതി[തിരുത്തുക]
യിൻലോങ്ങ്‌ന്റെ ഫോസ്സിലിൽ നിന്നും ഏഴു ദഹന സഹായിയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന കല്ലുകൾ കിട്ടിയിടുണ്ട്. ഇവ സസ്യ ആഹാരം വയറ്റിൽ വെച്ചു അരച്ച് എടുക്കാൻ ഇവയെ എടുക്കാൻ ഇവയെ സഹായിച്ചിരിക്കണം. ഈ ഒരു സവിശേഷസ്വഭാവം പല സസ്യാഹാരിയായ ദിനോസറുകളിലും , പക്ഷികളിലും സാധാരണം ആയി കണ്ടുവരുന്നു
