ഒരു ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ ഇസ്‌ലാമിക പണ്ഡിതനാണ് മുഹമ്മദ് അബ്ദു (1849 - 11 ജൂലൈ 1905) (അറബി: محمد عبده ). നിയമജ്ഞൻ, ദൈവശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ, പരിഷ്കർത്താവ്, [1] എഴുത്തുകാരൻ എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ പ്രശസ്തനായ അദ്ദേഹം ജമാലുദ്ദീൻ അഫ്ഗാനിയോടൊപ്പം യൂറോപ്യൻ അധിനിവേശത്തിനെതിരായി അൽ ഉർവത്തുൽ വുഥ്ഖ എന്ന മാഗസിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു[2]. അബ്ദു രചിച്ച ഖുർആൻ വ്യാഖ്യാനം, രിസാലത്തുത്തൗഹീദ് എന്നിവ ഇസ്‌ലാമികലോകത്ത് വ്യാപകമായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നവയാണ്.[3]

ജീവചരിത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]

തുർക്കിക്കാരനായ പിതാവ്, ഈജിപ്തുകാരിയായ മാതാവ് എന്നിവരുടെ മകനായി 1849-ൽ ഈജിപ്തിലെ നൈൽ ഡെൽറ്റയിൽ ജനിച്ചു[4][5]. കുടുംബത്തിന് കുർദ്ദിഷ് ബന്ധവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു[6]. തൻതാ, അമ്മാദി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ശേഷം 1866-ൽ അൽ അസ്‌ഹർ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽ[7][8] തത്വശാസ്ത്രപഠനത്തിനായി[9] ചേർന്നപ്പോൾ അവിടെ അധ്യാപകനായിരുന്ന ജമാലുദ്ദീൻ അഫ്ഗാനിയുടെ ചിന്താസ്വാധീനത്തിലാവുകയായിരുന്നു[10]. യൂറോപ്യൻ കൊളോണനിയലിസത്തിന്റെ ശക്തനായ വിമർശകനായിരുന്ന ജമാലുദ്ദീൻ അഫ്ഗാനിയോടൊപ്പം രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിലും പത്രപ്രവർത്തനത്തിലും അബ്ദു പങ്കുവഹിച്ചു.
