മാൻഗ്രോവ് റോബിൻ (Peneoenanthe pulverulenta) പെട്രോസിഡീ കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു പക്ഷിയാണ്. അരു ദ്വീപുകൾ, ന്യൂ ഗിനിയ, വടക്കൻ ആസ്ട്രേലിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ ഇത് കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. പക്ഷിയുടെ പൊതുവായ നാമം അതിന്റെ സ്വാഭാവിക ആവാസ വ്യവസ്ഥയെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മാൻഗ്രോവ് വനങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന ഇവ ഈ ജൈവമേഖല ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പുറത്ത് പോകുന്നത് വളരെ വിരളമാണ്.

ടാക്സോണമി[തിരുത്തുക]

മാൻഗ്രോവ് റോബിൻ പസേരിഫോമസ് നിരയും പെട്രോസിഡീ കുടുംബവുമാണ്. ഈ സ്പീഷീസിൽ നാല് ഉപജാതികളുണ്ട്. [2]1850 ൽ ന്യൂ ഗിനിയയിൽ നിന്ന് ശേഖരിച്ച ഒരു മാതൃകയിൽ നിന്ന് മാൻഗ്രോവ് റോബിനെ ഫ്രഞ്ച് പ്രകൃതിശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ ചാൾസ് ലൂസിയൻ ബോണപാർട്ടെ വിവരിച്ചു. മയോലെസ്റ്റസ് പൾ‌വെറുലന്റസ് എന്ന ദ്വിനാമപദം അദ്ദേഹം നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി.[3]

വിതരണം, ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥ[തിരുത്തുക]

ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, ഇൻഡോനേഷ്യ, പാപ്പുവ ന്യൂ ഗിനിയ എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ പക്ഷിയെ വടക്കൻ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ പ്രദേശത്തും ന്യൂ ഗിനിയ ദ്വീപിലും[4] കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
