ബ്ലൂ-ആൻഡ്-യെല്ലോ മകവ് (Ara ararauna, ലിന്നേയസ് 1758) [2] അറ (Lacepede 1799) എന്ന ജനുസ്സിലെ അംഗമാണ്. മദ്ധ്യ-ദക്ഷിണ അമേരിക്കൻ മകവ്കളുടെ ആറ് ജനുസ്സുകളിൽ ഒന്ന് ആണിത്[3].
