കല്ലൻ തുമ്പികളിൽ ഒരിനമാണ് ബ്രോഡ് ബോഡീഡ് ചെയ്സർ. യൂറോപ്പ്, ഏഷ്യ എന്നീ ഭൂഖണ്ഡങ്ങളിൽ ഇവ സർവ്വസാധാരണമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇവയുടെ ഉദരത്തിന്റെ കീഴ്ഭാഗം വീർത്തിരിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഇവയുടെ പ്രത്യേകത. ഇവയുടെ 4 ചിറകുകൾ ശരീരത്തോടു ചേർത്തു തുന്നിയതു പോലെ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇതിൽ ആൺ തുമ്പികളുടെ വാൽ ഭാഗം ആകാശനീല നിറത്തിലാണ് കാണുന്നത്. 70 മില്ലീമീറ്ററാണ് ഇവയുടെ ചിറകുകളുടെ അഗ്രങ്ങൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലം.
